My name is April, I'm a mother, fiance, animal lover and a hard worker. I'm just a small town girl with a passion, I decided to take what was a hobby and run with it so for the last few years I have been making my dream something more. I feel the only way to do things in life is to take the leap. The day I can wake up and make candles sipping on my coffee other then waking up and driving to an office only then to come home and make candles I will consider this mission a success. I put alot of thought into the name Willow Moon, the name came from two things in life I very much love and find such beauty in. A Willow tree to me is so peaceful, flowy, airy so Zen like, the moon is so graceful as it creeps in through your window or as it blankets your land with it's light, it's just pure beauty! so there it is......Willow Moon
I have such a passion for making candles and other home smell goods it is so much fun testing different scents and combos! The joy I get when I am contacted because someone enjoys my product is indescribable! My candles are made from 100% soy bean plants.Each fragrance I offer from my scent list is tested for burn and scent throw before it makes the cut. Some fragrances do not do well in soy so I make sure what I put out there is something I would buy myself and I am confident that you will love it to.I do not mix any other wax with them so you can be assured you are purchasing a hand poured, all soy candle that has been made to order. Now a few things about soy ..................
Soy wax candles have a few unique characteristics to them that in no way affects the wonderful way which they burn. Frosting is when the soy wax forms small white crystals on the side of the jar or on the top of the candle. It is more common in candles that are dyed. Soy candles also have a "rough top" before or after burning. Some people add paraffin to their candles to eliminate these characteristics, but we do not. This is a natural quality of soy wax and we believe it adds a "primitive charm" to our candles. In fact many customers are concerned if there is no frosting on their soy candles for it is a way that a customer can tell if their candle is really made with pure, all-natural soy wax. Soy candles are very sensitive to temperature and light so be aware of the location when placing or storing your soy candle. In my many years of experimenting with waxes to make what I considered a perfect candle, I decided on soy because of its clean burn. Everyone loves the beauty that a candle adds to your room but hates the soot they find when they start wiping down walls or the film left on everything. Soy candles give you the ambiance and great scent you are looking for and burn clean, not to mention they will also burn up to 30% longer then a paraffin candle... how cool is that!
